National Transportation Atlas Database1
RITA/BTS’s authorizing legislation calls on the agency to
develop and maintain geospatial databases that depict:
- transportation networks;
- flows of people, goods, vehicles, and
craft over the networks; and
- social, economic, and environmental
conditions that affect or are affected by the networks.
These
databases are meant to support intermodal network
analysis.
