U.S. Airline Passengers

In 2012, airlines based in the United States originated 734 million passengers. Eighty-seven percent of passengers had a destination in the United States, and 13 percent had an international destination. For international air travel trips originating in the U.S., domestic carriers originated 54 percent of the passengers.
