BTS is conducting a Request for Information (RFI) to align our 2026–2030 data portfolio with modern analytical workflows and industry needs.

- Thematic Analysis: Following the close of the RFI comment period, BTS will review all submissions to identify common themes and will share findings.
Under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Section 25003, "Federal support for local decision-making," BTS is required to determine the data and analysis tools that assist local government officials with infrastructure investment decisions and submit to the Secretary a work plan for reviewing and updating existing data analysis tools and developing any additional data analysis tools needed to assist local communities with making infrastructure investment decisions.
