Preface

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) presents a profile of transportation in Minnesota —part of a series covering the 50 states and the District of Columbia. This collection of transportation information from BTS, other federal government agencies, and other national sources provides a picture of the states infrastructure, freight movement and passenger travel, safety, vehicles, economy and finance, and energy and environment.

All tables do not necessarily appear in every state profile report due to geographic and other characteristics. For example, border-crossing data are given only for states bordering Canada and Mexico. Data source and accuracy profiles are provided at the end of the report.
