There are three types of corridors:
- Northeast Corridor
- Designated corridors prior to October 2000
- New designations, extensions, and California clarification as of October 2000.
There are 11 corridors in the continental U.S.:
- California Corridor
- Chicago Hub
- Empire Corridor
- Gulf Coast Corridor
- Florida Corridor
- Keystone Corridor
- Northern New England Corridor
- Northeast Corridor
- Pacific Northwest Corridor
- Southeast Corridor
- South Central Corridor
