Fatalities, by Role, in Crashes Involving at Least One Driver with a BAC of .08 or Higher 2021

Pie chart showing the distribution of fatalities, by role, in crashes involving at least one driver with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08 or higher in 2021. The greatest share of fatalities was by the drivers with a BAC of 0.08 or greater 60 percent. This was followed in descending order by occupants of other vehicles at 16 percent and passenger riding with driver with a BAC of 0.08 or higher and nonoccupants, both at 12 percent.
