Percent On-Time Flight Departures and Arrivals

This combo bar-line graph shows the percentage of on-time flight departures and arrivals and enplaned revenue passengers. Both on-time departures and arrivals fluctuated between 70 and 80 percent from 2019 to 2023, both peaking in 2020 at 85 percent. The number of enplaned revenue passengers was lowest in 2020, around 350 million, and peaked in 2023 at almost 900 million.

Notes:

2024 data is through June. A flight is considered delayed when it arrived 15 or more minutes later than the scheduled arrival or departed 15 or more minutes later than the scheduled departure.
