North AmericanTransportation Statistics Interchange
The North American Transportation Statistics (NATS) Interchange is a trilateral collaboration for the development of comparable information on transportation in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. NATS Interchange members publish a common set of statistics and supporting technical documentation in three languages at https://www144.statcan.gc.ca/nats-stna/index-eng.htm.
Official participants in the NATS Interchange include Transport Canada, Statistics Canada, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Mexican Secretariat of Communications and Transport, the Mexican Institute for Geographical and Statistical Information, and the Institute for Mexican Transportation. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers also participates, but is not a signatory to the Memorandum of Understanding that governs the NATS Interchange. Other agencies and non-government organizations are invited to participate in individual activities of the NATS Interchange. The Bureau of Transportation Statistics represents the U.S. Department of Transportation in the NATS Interchange.
