October 2017 Passenger Airline Employment Data

U.S. scheduled passenger airlines employed 3.4 percent more workers in October 2017 than in October 2016, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reported today. October was the highest monthly full-time equivalent (FTE) employment total (430,232 FTEs) since January 2005 (430,780) and was the 48th consecutive month that U.S. scheduled passenger airlines' FTEs exceeded the same month of the previous year.
