Airline pilots on scheduled air carrier routes typically transport passengers and cargo, while commercial pilots on nonscheduled air carrier routes typically transport passengers. “Commercial pilots” includes charter pilots, air ambulance pilots, and air tour pilots. Ambulance drivers excludes emergency medical technicians.
