Airline Service Quality Performance Data – January 2026

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) today released its Airline Service Quality Performance data compiled for the month of January 2026 for on-time performance, mishandled baggage, mishandled wheelchairs, and scooters. 
 

The line chart illustrates the number of scheduled flights operated by Marketing Network carriers and their branded codeshare partners, after accounting for cancellations, over a two-year period relative to the current data release. In January 2024, approximately 560,000 flights were operated, which increased to 580,000 in January 2025, indicating steady year-over-year growth.
