Motor Fuel Prices – April 2025

Today, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) released monthly motor fuels prices for April 2025. 

In April 2025, the average price for regular motor gasoline was $3.17; up 2.4% from March 2025. The April 2025 price for regular motor gasoline was down 12.2% from April 2024.

By region, the average price for regular motor gasoline in April 2025 was:

  • West Coast: 4.25 (down 10.7% from April 2024)
  • Central Atlantic: 3.14 (down 12.1% from April 2024)
  • Rocky Mountain: 3.13 (down 8.1% from April 2024)
  • Midwest: 3.03 (down 12.0% from April 2024)
  • Lower Atlantic: 2.96 (down 12.9% from April 2024)
  • New England: 2.94 (down 14.8% from April 2024)

Diesel no. 2 rose to $3.57 in April 2025; down 0.5% from March 2025. Diesel fuel prices in April 2025 were down 10.9% from April 2024.
