Motor Fuel Prices – February 2025

Today, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) released monthly motor fuels prices for February 2025. 

In February 2025, the average price for regular motor gasoline was $3.12; up 1.5% from January 2025. The February 2025 price for regular motor gasoline was down 2.8% from February 2024.

By region, the average price for regular motor gasoline in February 2025 was:

  • West Coast: $4.08 (up 1.2% from February 2024)
  • Central Atlantic: $3.17 (down 3.7% from February 2024)
  • Rocky Mountain: $3.01 (up 5.3% from February 2024)
  • New England: $3.00 (down 4.7% from February 2024)
  • Midwest: $2.96 (down 2.9% from February 2024)
  • Lower Atlantic: $2.94 (down 5.4% from February 2024)
  • Gulf Coast: $2.71 (down 4.7% from February 2024)

Diesel no. 2 rose to $3.68 in February 2025; up 1.1% from January 2025. Diesel fuel prices in February 2025 were down 9.1% from February 2024.
