Motor Fuel Prices – July 2025

Today, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) released monthly motor fuels prices for July 2025. 

In July 2025, the average price for regular motor gasoline was $3.13 per gallon; down 0.8% from June 2025 and down 10.3% from July 2024.

By region, the average price for regular motor gasoline in July 2025 was and year-over-year change:

  • West Coast: $4.03 (down 3.5%)
  • Central Atlantic: $3.14 (down 11.6%)
  • Rocky Mountain: $3.13 (down 7.3%)
  • New England: $3.02 (down 13.0%)
  • Midwest: $3.00 (down 11.9%)
  • Lower Atlantic: $2.92 (down 12.5%)
  • Gulf Coast: $2.73 (down 11.3%)

The average price for diesel no. 2 rose to $3.78 in July 2025, up 5.0% from June 2025, but down 0.8% from July 2024.
