U.S. Cargo and Passenger Airlines Gained 4,516 Jobs in October 2023; Employment Remains 8.8% Above Pre-Pandemic October 2019

U.S. airline industry (passenger and cargo airlines combined) employment increased to 812,381 workers in October 2023, 4,516 (0.56%) more workers than in September 2023 (807,865) and 65,835 (8.82%) more than in pre-pandemic October 2019 (746,546).

November 2023 U.S. Transportation Sector Unemployment (4.5%) Falls Below the November 2022 Level (4.6%) But Rises Above the Pre-Pandemic November 2019 Level (3.3%)
