Docked Bikeshare Trips – September 2025

Today, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) released docked bikeshare trips for September 2025. 
From September 2024 to September 2025, docked bikeshare trips starting and ending at a docking station on eight of the largest systems grew 5.7%.

By area served and system, the number of docked bikeshare trips in September 2025 and the percentage change from September 2024 on nine of the largest systems with data:

  • New York, NY (CitiBike): 5,265,960 (up 5.9%)
  • Boston Metro, MA (Blue Bikes): 583,644 (up 0.8%)
  • Washington, DC Metro (Capital Bikeshare): 479,708 (up 4.6%)
  • Chicago, IL (Divvy): 460,928 (down 13.0%)
  • San Francisco, CA (Bay Wheels): 424,035 (up 38.6%)
  • Philadelphia, PA (Indego): 168,054 (up 20.4%)
  • Jersey City, NJ (CitiBike): 115,305 (up 0.2%)
  • Pittsburgh, PA (POGOH): 96,057 (up 31.1%)
  • Los Angeles, CA (Metro Bike Share): 45,187 (down 14.7%)
