U.S. airlines carried 31.8 million systemwide (domestic and international) scheduled service passengers in February 2021, seasonally adjusted, according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), up 3.3% from January.
BTS reported 29.2 million domestic passengers and 2.6 million international passengers on U.S. airlines flights in February.
U.S. airlines employed 713,035 workers in March 2021, 221 fewer than in February 2021 (713,256) and 42,060 fewer than in March 2020 (755,095).
The March industry numbers consist of 598,378 full-time and 114,657 part-time workers.
