  • Total Transborder Freight: $104.5 billion of transborder freight moved by all modes of transportation, up 1.8% compared to April 2018
  • Most-used mode: Truck moved $65.1 billion of freight, down 1.0% compared to April 2018
  • Second mode: Rail moved $15.6 billion of freight, up 6.3% compared to April 2018

March 2019 North American Transborder Freight Numbers

Transborder freight between the U.S. and other North American countries (Canada and Mexico) in March 2019:

  • Total Transborder Freight: $107.2 billion of transborder freight moved by all modes of transportation, up 1.4% compared to March 2018
  • Most-used mode: Truck moved $67.4 billion of freight, up 1.3% compared to March 2018
