U.S. scheduled passenger airlines employed 3.0 percent more workers in May 2018 than in May 2017:
- May’s 438,215 full-time equivalents (FTE) was the highest monthly employment total since November 2004 (439,776 FTEs).
- May was the 55th consecutive month that U.S. scheduled passenger airline FTEs exceeded the same month of the previous year.

March 2018 Passenger Airline Employment Data
U.S. scheduled passenger airlines employed 2.8 percent more workers in March 2018 than in March 2017:
- The highest monthly full-time equivalent (FTE) employment total (434,243 FTEs) since December 2004 (436,909 FTEs).
- The 53rd consecutive month that U.S. scheduled passenger airline FTEs exceeded the same month of the previous year.
February 2018 Passenger Airline Employment Data
U.S. scheduled passenger airlines employed 3.0 percent more workers in February 2018 than in February 2017. February was the highest monthly full-time equivalent (FTE) employment total (432,232 FTEs) since December 2004 (436,909 FTEs) and was the 52nd consecutive month that U.S. scheduled passenger airline FTEs exceeded the same month of the previous year.
