The survey will provide data on electric vehicle (EV) usage as well as charging patterns and preferences. These data can be used by public agencies at all levels, private companies, and other stakeholders to make evidence-based decisions about EV manufacturing and infrastructure.

BTS Updates Datasets to National Transportation Atlas Database 07/28/2023

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) today released its summer 2023 update to the National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD), a set of nationwide geographic databases of transportation facilities, networks, and associated infrastructure.

Number of U.S. Public and Private Alternative Fueling Stations by Fuel Type

KEY: CNG = compressed natural gas; E85 = 85% ethanol, 15% gasoline; LNG = liquefied natural gas; R = revised; U = data are not available.

a Total counts are the number of stations for all fuel types combine including both public and private non-residential stations.

b Includes legacy chargers but does not include residential electric charging infrastructure.

c Propane includes all (primary and secondary) stations.
