USDOT Air Travel Consumer Report Now Includes More Complete Airline Data

The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) today issued its monthly Air Travel Consumer Report (ATCR), which, for the first time since its inception more than 30 years ago,  contains data on domestic flights that are marketed by the mainline carriers, but operated by the mainline carriers’ regional codeshare affiliates.

July 2018 North American Freight Numbers

Freight between the U.S. and other North American countries (Canada and Mexico) in July 2018:

• Most-used mode: Truck moved $62.7 billion of freight, up 11.2 percent compared to July 2017
• Second mode: Rail moved $14.4 billion of freight, up 6.8 percent compared to July 2017
