Thursday, March 22, 2012 - The U.S. Department of Transportations Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reported today that U.S. airlines carried 58.9 million scheduled domestic and international passengers in December 2011, 0.6 percent more domestic passengers and 0.3 percent more international passengers than in December 2010.

The on-time arrival performance during February 2012 was the highest February percentage on record since comparable on-time data was first reported in 1995.
