Transportation Producer Price Index – August 2026

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) reported that the transportation equipment Producer Price Index (PPI) rose 2.6% from August 2025 to August 2026. The PPI, produced and published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), measures inflation from the perspective of the producers (sellers) of products.

Truck movements in Texas during January 23–27, 2026 winter storm

As snow begins to fall, metropolitan areas inside the Texas triangle see a sharp decrease in distance traveled until weather conditions improved towards the end of January.
