BTS’ New OD40 Program Takes Flight
Today, the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) officially launched the Origin-Destination Survey of Airline Passengers (OD40) program. OD40 is a major milestone for the BTS and the aviation industry, as the amount of origin-destination data will increase from a 10 percent sample of tickets collected quarterly from large carriers (OD10) to a 40 percent sample of tickets collected monthly from existing and new reporting carriers (OD40).
