March 2026 U.S. Transportation Sector Unemployment (3.4%) Falls Below the March 2025 Level (4.6%)
The unemployment rate in the U.S. transportation sector was 3.4% (not seasonally adjusted) in March 2026 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). These data have been updated on the Bureau of Transportation Statistics’ (BTS) Unemployment in Transportation dashboard. In March 2026, the transportation sector unemployment rate fell 1.2 percentage points from 4.6% in March 2025.
