U.S. Airlines’ June 2026 Aviation Fuel Cost down 10.0%, Consumption up 2.5%, and Fuel Cost per Gallon down 12.2% from May 2026

The Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) released U.S. airlines’ June 2026 fuel cost and consumption numbers indicating total fuel expenditure ($5.99B) of U.S. scheduled service airlines was down 10.0% from May 2026 ($6.66B) and up 60.6% from June 2025 ($3.73B).
