Air Travel Consumer Report: February 2018 Numbers

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) today released its April 2018 Air Travel Consumer Report (ATCR) on air carrier data compiled for the month of February 2018.  The full consumer report and other aviation consumer matters of interest to the public can be found at http://www.transportation.gov/airconsumer.

BTS’ National Transportation Statistics Updated

The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) today updated National Transportation Statistics(NTS) – a web-only reference guide to national-level transportation data. NTS, updated quarterly, includes a wide range of national transportation information. NTS consists of more than 260 tables of national data of which 56 were updated today.

February 2018 Passenger Airline Employment Data

U.S. scheduled passenger airlines employed 3.0 percent more workers in February 2018 than in February 2017. February was the highest monthly full-time equivalent (FTE) employment total (432,232 FTEs) since December 2004 (436,909 FTEs) and was the 52nd consecutive month that U.S. scheduled passenger airline FTEs exceeded the same month of the previous year.
