April 2025 Freight Transportation Services Index (TSI) Down 0.5% from the Previous Month and Up 0.7% from the Same Month Last Year
The Freight Transportation Services Index (TSI), which is based on the amount of freight carried by the for-hire transportation industry, fell 0.5% in April from March, falling for the second consecutive month, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS). From April 2024 to April 2025 the index rose 0.7% (Tables 1, 2, and 2A).
