National Transportation Atlas Database Spring 2018 Update
Friday, April 20, 2018 - The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) has released the National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD) spring 2018 update with three new data sets and eight updated data sets. The NTAD is a compilation of geospatial data sets representing the Nation’s transportation infrastructure, containing roadways, railways, and airports.
BTS’ National Transportation Statistics Updated
The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) today updated National Transportation Statistics(NTS) – a web-only reference guide to national-level transportation data. NTS, updated quarterly, includes a wide range of national transportation information. NTS consists of more than 260 tables of national data of which 56 were updated today.
February 2018 Passenger Airline Employment Data
U.S. scheduled passenger airlines employed 3.0 percent more workers in February 2018 than in February 2017. February was the highest monthly full-time equivalent (FTE) employment total (432,232 FTEs) since December 2004 (436,909 FTEs) and was the 52nd consecutive month that U.S. scheduled passenger airline FTEs exceeded the same month of the previous year.
